Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Occutrace!

As we get ready for 2025, we want to thank you for all your support over the past 12 months. We hope you enjoy this look back at what we’ve been up to in 2024!

New Clients and Exciting New Projects

This year has been a productive period for our team. We’ve been grateful to welcome three brand-new clients, who now join our growing list of valued and loyal partnerships.

In addition to expanding our client base, we’ve also begun to work on five exciting new projects, further maximising our services and extending our workstreams. These new projects underscore our commitment to growth, innovation, and meeting the evolving needs of our clients.

Launch and rapid growth of ‘one-stop service’ Collect & Disconnect

Following the successful completion of our WIRS and WIRSAE accreditation, we launched our integrated ‘Collect & Disconnect’ our solution of a seamless one-stop service combining debt collection and temporary disconnections.

Since its inception, the department has experienced remarkable growth, collecting over half a million and counting in a short period. Additionally, we’ve achieved a 300% growth rate, more than doubling the department’s headcount.

Looking forward to watching the achievements and growth this department are going to have in 2025!

50% increase by welcoming new team members and building a stronger team

Throughout the year, we have been busy growing our team matching the rapid expansion of our operations. We have brought on vast experience and a varied skillsets into our managerial team who have a combined experience of over half a century under their belt.

Seeing some new faces into our team has allowed new skillsets and capabilities crafting a team of well-rounded and knowledgeable figures in debt collection and team operations. Giving an increase of 50% and growing across our office and field team, we can’t wait to welcome more as we continue to grow our departments in 2025.

Rapid expansion of services reflected across our website

Our website underwent a complete revamp as a goal to provide a more well-rounded and in-depth showcase of all our services. The addition of new content highlights the significant growth in our capabilities and demonstrates the extensive value we can deliver to our clients.

Allowing clients to fully explore everything Occutrace has to offer from services that have previously been behind the scenes.

Continued innovation with successful completion of Project No Flow

In spring, we completed the Market Improvement Fund Project No Flow. Together with Wave, Project No Flow investigates and scrutinises meters recording non-consumption. Helping to enhance the market’s understanding of the lifespan of meters and how important accurate readings are in terms of understanding water usage patterns and forecasting demands.

Now hard at work on our third Market Improvement Fund Project No one Home that aims to improve the monitoring of vacant properties by reviewing existing and emerging methods and technologies to enable better management of vacant properties.

Can’t wait to deliver this project as another contribution to market change and supporting the ongoing innovation to industry research by improving the customer experience.

Award nominations in categories of Digital Technology and Partner of the Year

In 2024, we were honoured to be recognised for our work by award nominations.

In May, Business Stream shortlisted us as a nominee for Partner of the Year at their annual Business Stream Awards. Despite not winning the category we are incredibly proud of the work we continue to do with Business Stream and greatly appreciate that Business Stream would put us forward as a nominee.

In October, we were up as a nominee for the category of Best Use of Digital Technology at the Glasgow Business Awards. Although we didn’t win, being in a category that truly gives recognition to our own investment in innovation within our own technology as a foundation of Occutrace is extremely rewarding.

Charitable Efforts

Every year, we strive to continually give back and raise money for charitable organisations. Throughout 2024, we have raised over £825 for charities such as Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and Swim 22 for Diabetes UK.

We haven’t just raised money but collected donations for our local foodbank for Random Acts of Kindness Day and donated 100 Christmas Dinners for Social Bite in their goal to end homelessness.

Looking forward to continuing this valuable charity work in 2025 and to keep supporting local charities!

Lastly, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our clients—both new and long-standing—for making 2024 truly memorable. Your support has made this year remarkable, and we’re excited to see what 2025 has in store!
